Selecting a charity of choice is a decision that comes from the heart.

Thank you for considering HorseFriends as a recipient for your donations!

At HorseFriends, we strive to have profound and positive effects on the lives of individuals with special needs, and their families. We cannot do this without the generous support of our volunteers and donors. Your gifts enable us to fulfill our mission and provide our programs free of charge. They also ensure the very best care for our wonderful horses.

Donations to HorseFriends may be tax-deductible due to our 501(c)(3) status and directly benefit the participants of our programs. Consult your CPA or tax expert for more information. We are primarily funded through the generous donations of individuals, businesses, and organizations. We greatly appreciate your support and prayers!

Donations may be made by check payable to HorseFriends, Inc. and through PayPal. If you bank online, you can send a check directly from your bank account (and can even set it up to be sent automatically each month).  Donations are completely tax deductible.  Our address is:

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsor a Student

Lessons are free of charge to our participants.  You can sponsor a student:

  • $2,000 will sponsor a student for 1 year

Sponsor a Therapy Horse

HorseFriends’ horses are the true work force behind our equine-assisted programs. A horse sponsorship is a great opportunity to contribute to HorseFriends and help with the care of our horses. These funds help cover costs for grain, farrier, supplements, veterinary costs, and other necessary items.

  • $5,000/year or $417/mo. will sponsor a horse

 Sponsor A Special Event

Corporate sponsors play a significant role in the success of our special events. HorseFriends works with corporate sponsors to customize their involvement to meet the corporations’ specific philanthropic and employee needs. Currently, we are seeking sponsors for our Boots & Buckles Benefit on April 14 at  Summerfield Farms.

Giving Opportunities

  • We welcome and graciously accept in-kind giving throughout the year. The donation of goods and/or services—such as the donation of hay, equipment, tack, or advertising—help ease the financial load of our programs in many ways.
  • A pledge enables a donor to spread a gift commitment over a period of time.
  • Through Planned Giving you can make a gift that will last beyond your lifetime by naming HorseFriends as a beneficiary.
  • Many corporations have matching gift programs in which they will match charitable contributions made by employees, retirees, and even spouses.
  • Donations can be made as a memorial to a friend or loved one, or in honor of a special person or event in your life.

Donate by Volunteering

We welcome anyone who is interested in being a volunteer. Through HorseFriends, you will have the opportunity to enhance the life of an individual who has a special need.  Volunteers need to be 13 years or older to sidewalk with a participant and 15 years if they are interested in working directly with horses. Whether you are old or young, a professional horse person, or have little or no experience with horses, we would love to have you as a part of our ministry.

We hold regular training sessions for eligible volunteers. These sessions are designed to teach you how to help with our participants and horses.  Check our calendar for training dates.

If you would like to sign up, please complete and send us a Volunteer Form and Health HistoryRelease of Liability Agreement – Volunteers  and Consent form Thanks!

Most importantly, we ask that you keep this ministry in your prayers. It is only through the grace of God that lives are touched. We depend on the Lord to provide what we need, and the participants whom we can help. We look daily for His direction and wisdom.
