HorseFriends Closing

It is with great sadness that we share with our HorseFriends Family, due to a lack of funding to sustain the organization, we have had to make the impossible decision to close our doors.  We thank you so much for your support through the last 16 years.  It has been our greatest pleasure to serve your families and we owe the success of our program to the contributions of our community. Our volunteers and donors have been the backbone of our program and without your generosity and dedication to the success of our participants, HorseFriends would not have existed.

HorseFriends was a therapeutic riding program and proud PATH Association member located in the Piedmont Triad Area of North Carolina.  Founded in 2005, we provided equine therapy overseen by our PATH certified instructors for children and adults faced with special challenges. Most importantly, we were committed to providing these services 100% FREE of charge. Our mission was sharing the blessings of Christ with our community by providing equine programs that develop confidence, as well as physical, and emotional strength for our participants and volunteers. We designed a specific curriculum, using horse interactions and a support format to address difficulties and offer solutions to each participant’s life challenges.

We will cherish the memories of lives that were touched and changed through our therapeutic riding program.
